Little Felted Cat by HStiLeS Little Felted Cat by HStiLeS
I made this cat to fit a 1/4 scale doll. Totally needle felted from wool around a pose-able wire armature.

Wonderful work, the colors are blended so well without fibers mixing too much, and the armature is just amazing. I still have trouble even trying to wrap wool around armature without it slipping off. I love the detail in the eyes and the little whiskers. Simply beautiful how you capture the pattern of the cat's coat

Do you use solid felt on the wire before use needle felt wool onto the structure?

I start wrapping the wire with core wool - it's a bit spongier and felts faster than the top layer of wool.

You should really submit these to some groups, they'd get a lot more exposure then!

Thanks, I'll try that! I'm totally new here and haven't figured out how it all works yet.
